Avocado Cream is an easy recipe made with avocado, Greek yogurt and simple flavorings. Packed with protein and healthy fats, this simple condiment will become your new favorite topping for toast, tacos, burgers and more! {gluten free}
Back in my college days, one of my favorite go-to meals was a Boca Burger. My girlfriends and I would share a box, and we each had our own way of eating them. Some would top them with barbecue sauce, some used cheese. My favorite topping was salsa. Served with a salad, our Boca Burger meals were healthy, easy and super tasty!
I was very excited to learn about Boca’s new line, called Boca Essentials. Boca Essentials includes three, bold delicious flavors, including:
- Breakfast Scramble with potatoes, scrambled eggs and vegetables
- Roasted Vegetables and Red Quinoa with brown rice
- Chile Relleno with green chile peppers, black beans and brown rice
While I still love my Boca Burgers topped with salsa, I made this simple Avocado Cream recipe that is also quick and easy to make. Just a combination of mashed avocado, Greek yogurt, a little lemon juice and some flavorings, Avocado Cream tastes so good as a topping on a wide variety of foods and is especially good topped on many Boca Burger varieties.
- 1 ripe avocado, pitted and diced
- ½ cup nonfat Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- Put avocado, yogurt, lemon juice and garlic powder in a bowl. Mash with a fork until fully combined. [Note: You can also use a food processor or high-speed blender instead of mashing by hand]
As a busy mom who loves to be active, I know how important it is to get good protein in my diet. As a person who eats meatless 95% of the time, that can be a challenge. Fortunately these Boca Essentials vegetable- and grain-based patties are a great source of “complete protein,” which means they have the nine esseitnal amino acids that the human body needs but cannot product on its own. While many of these amino acids are typically found in meat, each new Boca Essential contains all nine, to offer a protein-packed and delicious meatless alternative.
The three varieties of Boca Essentials are available at retailers nationwide and can be found in the freezer case at grocery stores. A single, 10-ounce pack contains four patties and retails for $4.29.

I still have a few of those Boca Essentials burgers in my fridge and I know what I’ll be slathering them with! Such a great sauce for them!
I LOVE how easy and healthy this is! I could seriously put this on EVERYTHING! Pinned!
Can’t wait to try this avocado cream on summer burgers! Thanks!
This is such a delicious looking recipe. I would spread it on all my sandwiches…who needs maybe when you have avocados? LOVE these new Boca burgers too. That chile relleno with green chile peppers, black beans and brown rice sounds soooooooooo good!
This Avocado Cream looks like the perfect toping for Boca Burgers!!
I haven’t had Boca burgers in a while, but use to eat them in college too. They were so good! I know this avocado cream would have made them better though!
Wow, what a great idea! I could definitely use this in place of salad dressing or mayo.
Avocado cream sounds amazing! Have to try it 🙂
