Celebrate summer with a this unique, delicious and easy to make Cabbage and Pineapple Slaw Burger! Thank you to MIRACLE WHIP (through the Mom It Forward Blogger Network) for sponsoring this post.
With the 4th of July just around the corner, we are looking forward to a fun celebration (plus a day off work!) We are planning to have a super tasty backyard barbecue with some old favorite recipes as well as tasty new ones!
Every year we make this Grilled Barbecue Chicken, which is always a hit. Strawberry and Cream Sandwiches are always very popular as well. I am excited to add this Parsley Pesto Potato Salad to the mix this year. It’s so good!
Since Mike LOVES burgers, my favorite part of preparing for a summer party is to discover creative recipes to serve them up in a whole new way. These Cabbage and Pineapple Slaw Burgers are a fantastic new addition to our summer celebration menu!
Cabbage and Pineapple Slaw Burgers are a juicy burger topped with a spicy slaw made with cabbage, pineapple, Sriracha sauce and MIRACLE WHIP Dressing! Not only is the slaw made with MIRACLE WHIP Dressing, but that is also the secret ingredient that gives these burger patties their bold, zesty flavor. I never thought to add MIRACLE WHIP Dressing to the actual burger, but it is a genius move. It is so simple yet results in such a juicy, awesome burger.
- 2 pounds lean ground beef
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¾ cup MIRACLE WHIP Dressing
- 1 package (16 ounces) cabbage slaw blend
- 1 can (8 ounces) crushed pineapple, drained
- ¼ cup thinly sliced red onion
- 1 tablespoon Sriracha sauce (hot chili sauce)
- 8 hamburger buns, sliced
- Heat grill over medium heat.
- Combine meat, garlic powder and ¼ cup dressing until just blended; shape into 8 (1/2-inch-thick) patties. Grill for 5-6 minutes on each side, or until done (160°F). Be careful not to overcook!
- Meanwhile, combine cabbage slaw, pineapple, red onion and Sriracha sauce.
- Fill bun with burgers and slaw.

Thank you Alida. Happy 4th to you and your family.
We tried these today for the 4th and they were great! I can’t handle Sriracha so I just put mayo in the coleslaw but we both loved them!
Awesome! Thanks for sharing!
