Chocolate Banana Smoothie is an easy recipe made with two ingredients to yield a frothy, delicious smoothie! Thank you to TruMoo for sponsoring this post.
National Chocolate Milk Day is coming up on September 27th. To celebrate, I whipped together one of my favorite recipes using chocolate milk ~ a Chocolate Banana Smoothie! It is simple, quick to make and tastes like dessert!
This Chocolate Banana Smoothie uses only two ingredients – chocolate milk and banana (though sometimes I add flax for a nutrition boost). Chocolate and bananas are such a classic combination, and together make quite a tasty smoothie!
What I have found results in the frostiest smoothies is to use a frozen banana. When you whip up a frozen banana in a blender, the result ends up the consistency of soft serve ice cream. Add chocolate milk, and you end up with a tasty breakfast milk shake that takes minutes to make!
For the chocolate milk, I used TruMoo Chocolate milk – the nation’s leading read-to-serve chocolate milk! Smoothies made with TruMoo Chocolate Milk are a great source of protein, whether they’re enjoyed as a delicious breakfast, after school snack or energizer before a game! TruMoo Chocolate Milk is made with fresh white milk (sourced from your local dairy), pure cocoa and just enough natural sugar to make it taste great. With no high fructose corn syrup and no artificial growth hormones, you can feel great about serving it to your whole family – and enjoying it yourself!
For a quick breakfast on-the-go, post-workout pick me up, or to celebrate National Chocolate Milk Day,…whatever the reason, this Chocolate Banana Smoothie is sure to become a family favorite!
